A first day steeped in history: we leave San Fernando to ride up Cuesta del Portezuelo and take the classic photo from the viewpoint. We’ll return via Route 9 and, after visiting the Tunnels, continue toward Cuesta del Singuil to finish our first day in Aconquija. We’ll settle into the cabins and, for those who wish, ride up to the Cuesta del Clavillo viewpoint.

A full-on riding day. This is the most demanding stage in terms of riding, but the scenery rewards every kilometer. The first stretch climbs Cuesta Las Chilcas to Andalgalá, then we take on South America’s longest ascent: Capillitas and its 60 km of bends. From Pié de Medano we continue on pavement toward Belén for our second night.

This day takes us on pavement to Fiambalá, where we’ll drop gear and lighten the bikes before heading to Catamarca’s Route of the Six-Thousanders. The plan is to reach the Pissis volcano overlook, weather permitting. The highlands of Catamarca provide the main attraction.

Final day, returning from Fiambalá to Catamarca along the Ruta del Adobe. It’s an all-pavement day to leave the altitude behind and arrive calmly at our farewell hotel in San Fernando de Catamarca.

Registration & Payment

  • To confirm the booking, a payment of 30% of the tour price in Argentine pesos is required; this implies acceptance of these terms and the cancellation policy. The remaining balance must be paid 15 days before departure.
  • The percentage applied and each passenger’s final payment will depend on the cancellation of the contracted services, allowing a time buffer and avoiding out-of-pocket disbursements.

    If postponed due to bad weather, at the organizer’s discretion the deposit may be fully refunded or credited to a rescheduled date.

    Cancellation Policy

    For passenger cancellations, the policies of the confirmed ground services apply.

    • Between 40 and 31 days before departure: 10%
    • Between 30 and 20 days before departure: 25%
    • 15 days or less before departure: 100%

    Percentages depend on payments made to service providers. The deposit is non-refundable, except in specific cases such as illness or serious events preventing travel (of the passenger or an immediate direct family member), and also depending on the cancellation date. Clarify on request and, where possible, confirm in writing in the chat with the passenger.

    Our escorted group departures require a minimum of 10 passengers. If the minimum is not met, ROADBOOK reserves the right to cancel at least 20 days before departure, and the passenger may choose between:
    (a) Requesting to switch to an alternative destination from Roadbook’s scheduled trips, subject to the fare and re-quotation of the selected program.-
    (b) Requesting a refund of the amount paid, which will be made in the same currency used by the client, with no compensation due from Roadbook.
