With the bikes ready and full tanks, we set off for Salta along one of the North’s most beautiful routes: the Sendero Gaucho. A remote road linking the two provinces along the La Hondura River, with stone galleries as its trademark. After many kilometers of dirt and passing Pampa Grande, we’ll arrive at the Guachipas Golf Club, a first-class hotel for our first night.

On day two we’ll cross the Cuesta del Obispo, a road of stunning scenery and dreamlike views. We’ll traverse the Recta del Tintín to reach our lunch spot: Cachi. In the afternoon the first stretch of Route 40 awaits, from Cachi to Molinos, where we’ll sleep in the town’s main estancia, now transformed into a spectacular colonial hotel.

Route 40 day. From a riding standpoint it’s the most fun: Quebrada de las Flechas, the dirt of R40 and its landscapes, the Abra del Infiernillo on the way to Tafí, and the vineyards of Cafayate. A day with everything to enjoy real riding while traveling.

Yunga day in Tucumán. A road day with a different color palette: from semi-arid to the deep green of the Tucumán yunga. Dense vegetation and many tight curves. Once on Route 38 we’ll head to the junction with 348 to ride our last dirt kilometers: Quebrada de Lules, El Duraznillo, and El Siambón.

Registration and Payment Terms

  • To confirm the booking, a payment of 30% of the tour price in Argentine pesos is required, by which these terms and the cancellation policy are accepted. The remaining balance must be paid 15 days prior to departure.
  • The percentage and final payment for each passenger depend on how the contracted services are being settled, to keep a time buffer and avoid using personal funds.

    If the tour is suspended due to bad weather, at the assistant’s discretion the deposit may be refunded in full or kept for rescheduling.

    Cancellation Policies

    In case of cancellations by the passenger, the policies of the confirmed ground services will apply.

    • Between 40 and 31 days before departure: 10%
    • Between 30 and 20 days before departure: 25%
    • 15 days or less before departure: 100%

    Percentages depend on the staged payments for services. The deposit is non-refundable, except in specific cases such as illness or a serious issue preventing the trip (of the holder or a direct family member). It also depends on the date on which the cancellation is made. If asked, this should be clarified and, if possible, left in writing in the chat with the passenger.

    Our accompanied group departures require a minimum of 10 passengers. If the required number is not reached, ROADBOOK reserves the right to cancel at least 20 days before the tour. The passenger may choose between:
    (a) Requesting a change to an alternative destination from Roadbook’s scheduled trips, subject to the rate and re-quotation published for the selected program;
    (b) Requesting a refund of the amount paid, which will be made in the same currency used by the client, with no additional compensation from Roadbook.
